Who this shade matches

This is the shade for you if you want neither brassy nor grey. Beige is the balance point: enough warmth that it does not read cool, not enough that it reads gold. It suits natural dark blondes and light brunettes at level 6 to 8, and hair that has grown out from a lighter colour.

It is also a lower-risk choice when you cannot come to the studio for an in-person match. Gold and ash both fail visibly against the wrong base: gold looks orange next to ash hair, ash looks grey next to gold hair. Beige does neither. For the closest match online, send us a photo of your hair in daylight before ordering.

Wear and care

Move-ups at 6 to 8 weeks, heat under 450 °F (230 °C) with a protectant.

  • Toning: a violet or blue shampoo every fourth wash. At this depth, warmth tends to show as copper rather than yellow, which blue neutralises.
  • Fade: because beige is balanced rather than pushed in one direction, it fades gradually and rarely reads as a mismatch before the next appointment.
  • Conditioner: mid-lengths and ends only, well clear of the tape tabs.

Questions about Beige Blonde #6.10

Is US #12 the same as a #12 platinum?

No. On American colour rings #12 is a dark beige blonde. In the European system used by Violet Beauty, #12 marks the platinum range. This shade is US #12 and Violet Beauty #6.10; our platinums carry US codes #613 and #60A.

Is beige warm or cool?

Neither. It sits between the two, which is what makes it versatile.

How does #12 compare with #22?

Same neutral beige tone, different depth. Light Beige Blonde #12.4 (US #22) is two levels lighter. The two can be combined in one install for soft, natural dimension.

Can #6.10 be used with platinum?

As a shadow or root shade beneath platinum, yes. Side by side at the same length, the level difference will show.
